Yay!! I now have the complete set of gorgeous jewels, thanks not, I am afraid, to my own skills at deciphering clues, but to the skills of my now very favourite person because he is so clever and he found them when I couldn’t - Dell!!
here is my navel ring:
Here’s an earring and one view of my necklace:
here is a better view of the necklace:
and here’s me wearing everything in the set:
That was a very difficult quest but luckily I have the right contacts to help and voila! Gorgeous jewels are mine!!!! What fun. I do think there’s a lot to think about in terms of storying and gaming and the hybridity of the two in quests like this. By the end of this particular quest the story had little value or impact, and the game became more significant. I am wondering whether anybody has done a study of the schematic structures of game-narratives?
Anyway, huge thanks to the creator of this quest, Random, and to my riddle-solving questing companion, Dell!

Wow! The jewels look fabulous! Especially on you. This Mata Hari quest certainly had it’s rewards. I can only imagine how many hours it took to create the jewels let alone find them. I admire your decision to team up with another questor to help solve the riddles. The old axiom that two minds are better than one, certainly paid off here. *smiles* The real Mata Hari was famous as the woman who inspired the phrase “Femme Fatale”. She attracted a long line of secret admirers who showered her with real jewerly in an attempt to win her affections. I can only speculate as to your role and inspiration in the quest for the secret locations of these gorgeous jewels. Perhaps this is one more example of life imitating art? Or in this case of Second Life imitating art… *smiles*. Perhaps it’s only that I am slightly jealous of your questing companion?
I’m sure the quest was as much fun as the finding the goodies! It’s only fair that I share with you a cypher for a different kind of quest which based on your past experience in solving Mata Hari puzzles you will have no problem decoding: VYBIRLBH I can’t promise you jewels for solving this, perhaps something worth far more? *smiles*

Digital Dreamer, you have me…. flumoxed! One thing I can say in response to this is that your language - your turn of phrase, your spelling, your selection of lexis and grammar…. its like a digital fingerprint, so I will be doing some detective work of my own about this esoteric, mysterious commenter that has appeared on my blog! *smile*
